The Edge Hi-RES 7" Digital Picture Frame with MP3 player sits in my china cabinet, displaying Amanda's 5th birthday pictures, 6 year old Seth at playland, Colt riding his first two wheel bike, Kelsey fishing in the Atlantic, Logan at Christmas and more. I have a removable Edge flash drive attached and I add pictures to the collection by attaching the flash drive to my PC. I think attaching a flash drive provides the greatest flexibility and convenience.
A CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR MOM FROM THE KIDS
My adult children gave me the Edge HI-Res Digital picture frame for Christmas, knowing that I like to display pictures of the kids and grandkids around the house. The 7-inch active matrix LCD screen has nice resolution and displays the 186 pictures that I have loaded on the flash drive similar to a PC Screen Saver. You have a choice of fade-ins and time spent on each picture. I find 3 seconds just right. I have not reached the capacity of the flash drive - I can still add more picutures.
But Alma, Would you want one in your cubie at work?
Yes, this would make a nice addition to my work environment. It means I would store the pictures on my picture frame, rather than my employer's PC. My daughter-in-law works in an upscale law office and has one on her desk. You will need to determine whether someone in the office would be tempted to steal your digital picture frame.
The FRONT VIEW and REMOTE CONTROL
A 3/4" acrylic border frames a 3/4" soft white border around the screen. If you purchase the Edge "diskGO" flash drive, it matches the soft, metallic look of the frame. Pictures display in a 6" by 3 1/2" screen and are extremely clear - depending on the angle at which you are viewing. Think laptop screen here. Since I keep my digital picture frame in my china cabinet, the remote is very handy. Credit card size remote provides all functions including zoom, on/off, rotate music, video, slide show and more.
The REAR VIEW
The rear view of the picture frame shows the manual switches for ON/OFF, Exit, Enter, and directional arrows. The picture-frame-leg can be flush or extended. The stereo speakers are in the rear. There is also a hole for hanging the picture on the wall. There are side connections for a power cord, headphone (not included), memory card or USB Flash drive. Because these are located on the side, you are able to see them from the front.
