terrible customer service, slow shipping

I tried to order a Sedu straightening iron but am now in the process of canceling the order. I didn't do everything right either, I probably should have called sooner or even ordered sooner to make sure things were going smoothly, but why should I have to manage an order when I'm the one spending the money? The website advertises same day shipping and I also selected the 2nd day air option as well, but apparently even that wasn't enough.
I've pasted a copy of my order cancellation email below for anyone who might be interested in reading it.

Since I am unable to reach customer service through the phone (I've left two voicemails as well as spent an hour on the phone today), I am also sending an email.
I ordered the straightener last Friday with second day shipping so that I could get well before tomorrow (January 26th). The reason for the deadline was that it was a gift for someone who is leaving the country on Sunday (the 27th). Your website advertises same day shipping if orders are placed before a 4pm. Although I didn't place my order before 4pm, I hoped the order would ship out on Tuesday. Even if it was shipped out on Tuesday, I should have received the product today.
Today I tried to call customer service and was redirected to the order line three times. I was unable to select the option to stay in line to wait for a customer service rep. So I was involuntarily pulled out of the customer service queue and redirected to the order desk three times. I spent over an hour on the phone just trying to get in touch with a customer service rep. Each time, I explained the situation to the order desk representative, who informed me that they would make a note and that I MIGHT receive a call back from customer service in one to two business days--which would make it Monday or Tuesday next week, well beyond when I needed the product by. Then they would attempt to redirect me to the customer service queue, where I ended up at the end of the queue again each time. I also asked to leave a note that if I didn't receive the product by tomorrow, I would cancel the order.
Tonight, I finally received tracking information for my shipment, to be delivered on Tuesday, well beyond the need date. It appears that the note was either entered incorrectly or was improperly read.
I am extremely dissatisfied with the inability to even speak to a customer service representative even after waiting on the phone for over an hour. After this incident, I checked reviews online and noticed that many other people also had the same complaint.
