The Bottom Line I wrote this sonnet about my dog. Some people think it's about an old prostitute, but that isn't the case.
I saw you on the corner standing there Lounging in the shade of a big pine tree You were a loner, you had messy hair I told you that you could come home with me. You love it when I play with your white hair You like it when I scratch behind your ears You just don't know how much for you I care We've been together for all these long years. How you love me unconditionally Oh how my life would be without your love And how you have stood by me faithfully There is no better friend I can think of. I hope our time together never ends It's no wonder they call you man's best friend. |
