The Bottom Line This is a poem from my first book (newly published) of romantic poetry entitled, Romancing the Soul, available now through Amazon.com.
From $10
When sunlight fails to fall from azure skies and gray angry clouds no longer wet me; When blue jays roost and fold their wings and raise no more their voices in glee; When willows cease to weep and leaves do sweep the browning blades of haunted grass; When rivers cease to gurgle and speak a harmonious symphonic task. When moonlight fails and stars are quelled And the ocean tides speak no more; When rainbows disdain striking hues And foam no longer serenades the shore; When owls cease to speak from wizened peaks And bald eagles old decline to fly; When roses fail under the April snow And wildflowers put away their petals and die. When Angel's wings no longer sing of tender love and warm regard; When mountains bow below the plow of Godly hearts and hands swept hard; When time stands still 'pon distant peak and warm winds no longer caress me, my mind, my heart my soul will yet beat with an ardent, tender love for you.
