Perfect flatscreen for small spaces

When we decided to buy an LCD tv we spent weeks researching all the different specs, what was important to us and what didn't matter. In the end we chose the Sharp Aquos partially based on brand recognition. We're not big risk takers on this front. There were similar spec'd televisions with names we'd never heard of, but reviews were scarce and we wanted a company we could trust.

We've had the television for over 6 months and have been very pleased. The picture is clear and easy to adjust 'temperature' settings on setup. We are not technically inclined people and found setup very simple. We had it up & running within 10 minutes of getting it out of the box.

There is a delay between switching from HD channels and non-HD channels, but from what I have read this is common to all TVs and on ours, it's a slight delay....less than 2 seconds.

The TV offers an option to watch non-HD channels in 'widescreen' mode, which stretches the image and makes it look very unnatural. We keep it on the normal setting, which leaves two black bars on either side of the picture while viewing in non-HD. It's a little distracting at first but after awhile we don't even notice.

We have been very happy with the Sharp Aquos and would recommend it to anyone!
