This is extremely well written and is an excellent analysis. However I think it's pushing placement in the "Choosing a Vacuum Cleaner" section. Because you discuss the differences between the Hoover and the Dyson I agree that it isn't Off Topic. However, I think it would be better placed as a review of the Dyson and simply using the Hoover as a measuring stick.
