The program from Square Trade is completely legitimate, completely worthwhile, completely honest and therefore I will use on every electronics or technology purchase from now on. This is far better than a store warranty both in value and ease of use.
I covered a cell phone I bought on Ebay. 6 months later the phone was failing not because of being dropped or physically abused or damaged. I called in a claim wondering how long this repair would take leaving me without a phone. Customer service said that they were sending me a shipping label, via an email, to return the phone to them for inspection along with my invoice. The email came within a hour, the phone was shipped and I was given almost daily status reports on it being in transit and that it arrived. I was also told that due to the nature of the phone, I was receiving a complete refund of my purchase price less a nominal shipping fee. Within 48 hours of my phone arriving at the designated address, I received the refund into my Paypal account less about $4.50 for UPS shipping. This was totally fair, amazingly fast and therefore a worthwhile investment to protect an expensive PDA phone. Thank You Square Trade!
