Limited Too's Awkward Little Sister---Justice Just For Girls

When a new Justice store opened last spring at our local mall, my eight year old daughter (and most of her pals) went simply nuts for the clothes and accessories sold in the store. They are affiliated with the popular (and expensive) Limited Too store. Justice seem to aim their clothes and items to younger girls however, and also offer make-overs, similar to Libby Lu. In addition, their prices are better than Limited Too and their fashions are more age-appropriate, in my opinion of course.
I signed up for the store's special sales notices that come via telephone, when I was shopping back-to-school sales. I headed online to check out the specials, when I got a friendly (and frequent I might add) phone message from "Erin at Justice" letting me know about exciting new sales.
What a disappointment when I got to their website. Here I was hoping to avoid having to hit the mall, and score some goodies online. I have shopped online at Limited Too and just assumed that the site would be similarly run. You know what they say about assuming.....
Justice Just For Girls Online
I have to start off by saying that although the brand name of the clothes is Justice, you will not find the website unless you type in the full, www.justicejustforgirls.com. I mention this, because it took me some amount of persistence to even find this website. Perhaps this should have been a clue!
The Offerings from Justice are slim pickings!! The site does feature a "Catazine" that you can view online. It features all the latest, cute clothes that you can't buy. In fact, when you click the link at the bottom of the page, to "order a catazine" the website directs you to the store or a telephone number to get your "catazine". Hmmm, so much for web services.
Parties at Justice are heavily featured, along with information on costs and stores to have your parties in.
So You're Wondering What Do They Sell?
Well folks, it's simple. All the site sells is Gift Cards. What a whopping disappointment to Justice fans hoping to shop online. Despite my disappointment, I did find myself hitting the online site to order holiday gift cards for several little girls on my list. I will do anything to avoid the mall between Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day!
Gift Cards are only available in three denominations $25.00, $50.00 and $100.00.
Card Design Selection is actually quite impressive and you are able to choose from more than just a few designs of gift cards. I selected several cute holiday choices.
Add-On's are also available. These are little stuffed animals. Right now, they seem birthday themed, but I added the Justice stuffed monkey wearing a Santa hat that played a Christmas song to my order. The cost was an additional $7.50 per animal. I will say they were cute!
Ordering at Justice
This was really pretty easy. The shipping options pop up on the next page, and they offer a reasonably priced choice of $1.99 for ground shipping, $8.99 for second day, and $12.99 for next day.
Payment can be made with Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, or Discover.
Confirmation came immediately via e-mail of my order. The next morning, a shipping notice was sent as well. This had a click-able tracking link for my package.
Shipping came to me via USPS ground, and the tracking link did not show any information (as per the usual) with USPS until well after my package was on its way.
My Thoughts
I have to say that I was pleased with the efficiency of processing of my holiday time order. I was pleased with the shipping costs as well, though I did think the tracking could be more useful. The products were just as ordered and very cute. They were a total hit with the gift recipients, and I would use Justice again to purchase birthday party gift cards.
All in All
While Justice has proved to be a reliable source for gift card purchases, the site simply has nothing more to offer. They could do a much better job at using their website to sell actual products. If you are looking for clothing, you'll have to hit the mall, or take your chances on eBay. Though I am a fan of the brand, I have to say, the website is skippable, if you can even find it in the first place!
**Special thanks to online stores and services lead Joubert for adding this to the Epinions database despite his reservations. =)
