| rila_20's Full Review: Orion 12" Subwoofer 2NT 12DVC |
First off these are some of the most efficient, loudest subs that I have ever heard. I had one of the in my Mercury Capri convertible in a ported enclosure, off of a Soundstream Reference 700sx, and with it I could rattle items off of people's walls within a one to two block radius. This sub, from the outside, made my vehicle appear as if it were literally breathing! The top would flex in and out nearly an inch, hitting right along with the subwoofer! In a Dodge Omni, off of only sixty watts this time, the subwoofer actually blew the hats off of our heads, it was just an awesome experience! My friend had two of these, in the Orion Extreme vented enclosure, off of 800 watts and hit 154 Db's! He also did a test to find out about their durability. He took one and hooked it up to 450 watts of continuous power, at varying frequencies, and drove it for five hours straight. Afterwords the sub still worked perfectly, the amazing thing about this is that the sub was already two and a half years old!
