As you know, I'm a Spaten fan from way back. We need a listing for it, as well as some other, apparently (to Epinions, anyway) obscure brews like - Molson's, Moosehead, Fischer, Bitburger, Suprema (from El Salvador, trust me on this one). Hell, there are even beer barbarian standby's which we don't have, Hamms, Schafer, Old Style (which I even like).
Epinions' list is in drastic need of revision.

I've sent many emails to epinions about this and get little more than a "your suggestions will be considered" email. I voluntered to coordinate a revised list but they just don't seem interested.
Many of the beers in epinions database are no longer available, I think there were 3 from Rogue last time I checked. Franziskaner Hefeweiss is listed by the way, but I would definitely agree with Spaten being one of the most notable omissions.

Spaten beers should certainly be listed. A lot of Paulaner beers aren't listed either. I don't know when a beer was added to the database, and that's sad. Thanks for bringing attention to this.

Hehe, Spaten Weiss is my all time favorite. It is getting very hard to find lately around here though. I have been having to get it on tap at a German restaruant called "The Gasthause" lately. Great commentary:)

Epinions may have just bought a unfinished database. Why some beers are listed (Bad Frog) and others not (Spaten, Geary's Summer Ale, updated Catamount list, Youngs, Fullers, etc.) is beyond me. A simple add list utility with some approval mechanism would solve alot of the problem. cheers
