One of the best stores to shop at, although mainly located in the NORTHWEST, they do have s store even in St. Louis, MO. Before I started shopping REI, I had skepticism and reservations of the experience I pictured the store being full of vegan snobs that just wanted their own little world to shop at, you know ones that would never set foot in a Cabala’s. I was wrong, REI was a great experience for shopping, when you walk in the store the staff greets everyone, and they have knowledgeable staff not people who just work there but also participate in activities and use products that a consumer would be looking for and can give you real accounts of experience with the products. I have bought almost all my outdoor gear at REI, when I lived near Seattle, now it's a little harder since I have to settle for online shopping but they give you a dividend check back at the end of each year which is cool, a store that pays you go figure. As for the quality of their products they have some of the best on the market to offer, from bikes to rock climbing / hiking gear even Frisbees. this place has just about everything and you will not be disappointed in the price of any item since they offer a full return warranty on all newly purchased products they replace with no questions asked if you were not satisfied with an item. I have been to many sporting goods stores and REI is of the best if not the best. I say go online and check them out or take a trip to your local store the prices are a little spendy but then again you get what you pay for so if you want the best you have to be willing to pay for good products that will last you along time.
