What can I say about Fashion Bug? It's a nice store with up-to-date fashions for pre-teen girls, teenagers, young women on up to plus sizes. I think the first time I found out about Fashion Bug was many years ago, with my mom being a Plus-sized woman, she would shop at the local Fashion Bug. The reason she and other plus-sized women liked to shop there was because it was "fashionable" and other stores like Sears would have somewhat nerdy or frumpy-looking plus-sized women's clothing. My mom wanted to be stylish and fashionable even though she was not a thin woman. And I can honestly say that she pullled it off well!
Fashion Bug is a store owned by Lane Bryant. I am aware of Lane Bryant and their wonderfully made clothing as well. Personally, I shop at Fashion Bug as well because there is a store near me. Just two days ago, I received a postcard in the mail for 10$ off $25 or more. Since I needed some new pants and was planning on getting some at Fashion Bug, it had great timing (you can go to Fashionbug.com and sign up for their mailing and e-mailing list for coupons to be sent to your home). I took my daughter with me. We like Fashion Bug items so much, she ended up buying a hoodie and a t-shirt all on sale came to a total of $50 but she used her $10 off coupon and it came to $40...which she was proud to use her own earned money (she's twelve). Very cute clothes! I, myself spent $88 dollars, which would've been more if it had not been for my $10 off coupon. The manager was NICE enough to let us use the coupon for my items as well as my daughter's (good service!). I was disappointed to find out though that they changed their weekday hours from closing at 9 pm to 8 pm...but I can live with that.
Go to fashionbug.com to find stores/locations near you. I've seen them open up and go out of business. But in WA State there seems to be only two I know of now: one in the Seattle area and one in Everett but there may be others. The one in Bellingham (near the Canadian border) closed for unknown reasons. So if you cannot find what you are looking for then fashionbug.com is a great source to buy from. It is easy to manuever on that site, you can take a look at the items up close. They have great sales in-store and online! You can use different coupons for both. The shipping charge for online is reasonable as well and the shipping time is easy. In the past, the in-store returns used to be a bit of a hassle. As long as you have your receipt you can return items easier nowadays even if you wore it or took the tags off it. I remember that if you took the tags off it in the past, they would NOT let you return it very easily. Now they don't mind at all.
I do not have a need to return items very often at all. They are made with great quality and last a long time. I've had pajamas from Fashion Bug for over 7 years, so they last a long, long time. Prices are reasonable. You can find a pair of plus sized slacks for $34.99, get them on a sale for $29.99 and then use one of their coupons and you can get it for even less. Their clearance sales are even better, you can get things for up to 70% off and their underwear sales are fabulous. Like for instance right now you can buy 3 pairs of underwear and get 3 free. Some of those pairs may even be on sale!
I find the clothes are true to size whether you are non-plus size or plus size. They have great WORK wear...great suit jackets, blouses, skirts and slacks. They have wonderful bathing suits...mine has held up for 3 or 4 years and now it's time for a new one (but they seem expensive during the winter/spring season and on sale at the end of summer is the best to get them, price-wise). I paid $80 for my suit, a lot of money but off-season you may get them for half that cost which is a good deal. My daughter LOVES the pre-teen girls section, which has up-to-date and fashionable clothes. She found some cross and skull bones shirts and hooded jackets to go with her little "goth" phase of stuff she likes.
So overall, the MAIN reasons why I like Fashion Bug are:
They have a lot of items in my size IN STOCK!
The prices are affordable and coupons or sales are a plus!
They're true to sizes, so I don't even need to try on.
Trying on clothes is awesome, they are very helpful and put you clothes away for you when you are done.
It's easy to get a new wardrobe for under $200!
Has awesome work clothes, and winter jackets and PJ's!
They have everything from casual t-shirts, to work wear, to dressy dresses, to winter coats to casual leggings.
It's close by to where I live, but if I can't get there, I can easily order online.
Clothes hold up well! (I've had items for 5 to 7 years still holding strong!)
They even offer shoes.
Very fashionable place despite the corny store name.
Clothes are more fashionable than most places.
Cute plus size clothes and teen clothes under the same roof!
You can buy costume jewelry there, that is very fashionable and affordable.
Underwear sales!
People are friendly and willing to help or leave you alone.
Sooooo if you like fashionable clothing, inexpensive clothing, clothing for any size or shape, you basically have all that under one roof. I highly recommend it!
