Hope you never receive an incomplete or damaged item from Bizchair like I did.
Bizchair has good selection and the site is easy to navigate. But, the images are a bit misleading for some of the items, especially as to the quality of finish. The leather loveseats and sofas were acceptable. The bankers chairs were not very good quality and the vinyl scars easily. Just the friction from assembly put holes in the arms of several of the chairs. I had previously ordered 5 desk chairs from Bizchair and they were very nice, that's why I ordered the rest of the furniture.
I ordered nearly $4,000 of furniture on 12/12/07 and paid extra for inside delivery between 1/7 and 1/11/08. I received the order on 1/14/08. I had to carry all the items in. I informed them about the problem but they only credited me 1/2 of the fee.
Bizchair does not do the delivery. They contract with a delivery company. The delivery company sent only one guy out to deliver 2 loveseats, 2 large leather chairs, a conference table and 6 bankers chairs all in cardboard boxes. The manifest listed inside delivery, but he was alone. He did help carry in part of the order, but I and three others did the bulk of the work. I notified Bizchair about not getting inside delivery. They said they would credit back the inside delivery fee, but only 1/2 the fee was applied back to my credit card. No one from Bizchair has explained why.
I could have refused the order, but my new office was scheduled to open in 2 days. I needed the furniture for customers to sit on and tables for the staff to eat lunch. Look at other reviews at what happened to folks that refused orders. They had a difficult time getting the issue resolved and Bizchair deducts a 35% restocking fee PLUS charges for the delivery.
Part of the order was missing. It was a conference table. Only the base was delivered. The top and crossbars were missing. I notified them and the carrier that day. It took many calls and e-mails to get part of the missing order sent. But they only sent the top and not the crossbars. Plus, the table top arrived damaged.
I still have a damaged and incomplete item as of 3/12/08. I've requested several times to return the item for full credit. I'm not receiving return e-mails or calls.
Customer support is poor.
The big problem was with a 48" conference table. It comes in 3 boxes, but only one box, containing the base and legs were on the truck. I notified the driver, the delivery company and Bizchair immediately on 1/14/08 of the missing boxes. On 2/19/08 I received a replacement top, that was damaged but they did not send the crossbars required to attach the top to the base.
As of 3/14/08 I still do not have a complete table. I've sent them 16 e-mails and numerous calls. They take days to reply to e-mails and never return phone calls. I have not received a reply to my last few e-mails.
They've strung the issue out past the point of doing a charge back on credit card.
I've spent more stomach lining over this than the $399 I paid for the table I still don't have.
Be very careful ordering from Bizchair. If you receive a damaged or incomplete order, you probably will find them unresponsive. Too bad, much of the order was in good order. But I will not buy from them again or advise others to purchase furniture from them.
