Ease of Use:
Pros:Aesthetic, ergonomic, large and comfortable, functional
Cons:Very bad naming convention.
The Bottom Line: Graco is manufacturing the optimum strollers where the price and performance meets.
First the bad thing about the company: They really do NOT know how to name their models!
Good thing on the other hand is that they know how to manufacture a good baby stroller at a reasonable price.
Graco baby strollers is one of the optimum strollers I have seen during my market investigation for our upcoming baby. There are dozens of stroller varieties in the market, from pretty cheap but small and uncomfortable umbrella strollers to huge and multi-purpose travel systems. Basically, Graco's line of stroller products do not have a huge difference. They have two major categories of baby strollers: One series is called the LiteRider and the other UltraLite. In this article, I will focus on the Lite Rider series.
They name all of their strollers in this series as LiteRider strollers although the line has some 10 different models. Some of these models are named successfully, such as Glider, Breeze and Kite while others do not simply have a model name other than the name of the series, LiteRider. Besides even the models with the same name have differences. This becomes very confusing when you want to identify which of these models to buy for your child. Although these models do not have huge differences, they eventually do have some like the number of reclining positions of the seat or the thickness of the frame or the number of harness. Other than that, the only major difference between the models is the color and pattern of the frame and the seat cushion. Tip of the author: it is a wise decision to trace their strollers from the 4 digit serial number instead of the model name.
Some properties of the stroller follows. The frame is made of a lightweight but thick and strong material. The cushion on the baby seat is washable and looks pretty comfortable. There is enough space in the seat for the baby making the stroller even more comfortable. Some models have a 5 point harness while others have 3 point to buckle the baby up the seat. There is a bottom holding basket in almost all models which can hold up to 10 pounds of parents and babies stuff. There is a parent organizer and bottle holder which comes in handy.
The price of the stroller widely varies between the stores. I have bought a Glider LiteRider from WalMart at $50 which is the cheapest I could have ever found. On other stores at the time I have bought mine, the price was changing between $70 and $110. You might want to check the prices KMart, Sears, and Toys'R'Us before buying your stroller from a particular store.
Before buying a stroller from Graco, make sure that you have visited their web site at http://www.gracobaby.com. You can find some more details about their line of product but still do not expect to find all of the answers to your questions about their products.
