I've been buying my running shoes on-line for several years now and find the prices to be a big attraction. One of the drawbacks is that the last company I bought the shoes from doesn't have them the next time I need them. So I sometimes flounder around trying to find a company I would trust. My latest attempt was Kellys Runnning Warehouse. Before placing my order, I checked for reviews of the company on line and was satisfied, except for the fact that there didn't seem to be a phone number where they could be reached. I've been burned before, ordering from companies that don't publish a phone number and I have learned to not order from those companies. However, in reading reviews, I did find a number for this business, so I went ahead and placed my order. When the order confirmation came through, it noted that my shoes were on back order, but the date they were expected (assuming they did come in) was going to be too late. I need them for a race in early April. I emailed Kellys immediately stating that, and asking that they cancel my order. No response. Later, I sent a second email. Again no response. This time I called using the number I'd found on-line and the number I had was a fax number. I have sent a third email asking for the cancellation. I have also found out that the shoe I ordered has been discontinued, so it's not likely I'll get them at all, which may make all this moot anyway. However, this has reaffirmed to me that I will never order from a business that does not publish a phone number, and I will try the number before I complete my order.
