I have had their system for a few weeks and am impressed by outstanding equipment and service. Their model is a little different from the usual burglar/fire/CO alarm. The equipment is sold online, and you can monitor your system remotely using online access to virtually all aspects of your system. However, don't be fooled - there is nothing remote about this company. My initial purchase call took an hour as we discussed various options in the equipment, and they actually recommended less expensive solutions in several instances. The equipment, which is made by GE, arrived 3 days later, and I installed it myself in about 30 minutes. It is all wireless, so there are no problems with running lines or drilling cable paths. After the equipment was installed I called the FrontPoint office and in a few minutes the system and monitoring were activated. The system communicates via cell phone, so a burglar cannot disable your system by cutting a phone or internet connection. Since it was a new system, I eventually had a few questions. Every time I called the FrontPoint office I got a knowledgeable and courteous human being on the phone immediately, someone who actually seemed happy that I was one of their customers. The one time I had a problem that they couldn't answer immediately, they said they would call back. We all know what that means, but they actually did call back, and with the correct solution. All of my interactions with FrontPoint Security Solutions have been very positive, and their pricing is competitive - what's not to love?
UPDATE: I have now had the system for more than a year. In that time we had one sensor problem, which was handled easily by Frontpoint's office. We also had one false alarm when our cockatoo escaped from her cage while we were away. She climbed the curtains and apparently when she go close to the glass break sensor gave one her very loud screams that triggered the detector. I received a prompt phone call from the monitoring service, and a text message as well. At least we got to see the monitoring service in action, and it was fine. One other great feature is the automated reminder. I have mine set so that if I don't set the system by 9:00 am on weekdays, I receive a text message reminder. It happens at least once a week, and it is easy to go online and arm the system in response to the reminder. I remain enthusiastic about the quality of the equipment and service from this company.
