This is a great movie that is truly inspiring and great to watch. It gives you hope and tells just about everybody that there is hope for all of us regardless of the circumstances. i just loved this movie. My dad told me that he does remembering listening to this guy when he was in the army. It's a great movie and a must see for adults of all ages. Petey Greene is that kind of guy that gives hope to all of us. who would ever think that a former prison inmate would become so successful in life. It's a great movie for all ages. i once felt like Petey greene that there was no hope for me and i was at my lowest. I have been in and out of jail myself but now i work as a succesful writer. So let me ask you this, why do all these college teachers and high school teachers tell you this garbage that if you go to prison and break the law you are never getting a job and you will get nowhere. I'm sure it's just a scare tactic just so there students won't get into trouble. There is a very popular stereotype that just because you spend time in prison you are not getting a job with a criminal record. We all know as we get older that simply just not true. Prison inmates and criminals get good jobs all the time. Just look at Petey Greene himself. It's a strange owlrd we live in. In fact most employers are always looking for prison inmates and ex cons like Petey Greene to hire for cheap labor. In today's society usually the prison inmate gets the job for that reason. not the goody little two shoes that graduated from Harvard. It's all about cheap labor these days.
