I purchased the SAT-W60 for a bedroom unit to compliment the Mitsubishi HD-500 unit in my family room. I wanted the TiVO -like capabilities in a second room (as a TiVO was installed in the family room). There is an extra charge of $ 9.95/month for this service. Unfortunately, there is no one-time fee for this as is for the TiVO.

While the unit seems solidly put together, the response time from the remote control is horrible. For the guide and the 'my shows' options to appear, it takes over three seconds to display after the remote button is selected! This is disheartening! Also, the degree of remote control usage is poor. You must have the remote pointed DIRECTLY at the unit. Any deviation from this will cause the selection from the remote to fail.

Sony should've done a better job of quality control and performed more customer testing before putting this unit out.
