My experience with S&N has been a nightmare. I wish I had never ordered with them, but I did and now I'm waiting out to see how Mastercard deals with them on getting the refunds due to me. Their rep. came to my home to measure and show samples, etc. She promised 2.5 to 3 week delivery for everything. Two months later, and I still don't have what I ordered and had to pay for up front. Customer service is laughable. Some reps. have tried to be helpful, some get argumentative. They seem to tell you whatever they think you want to hear that will keep you happy, and then not deliver. Some of the goods that did get delivered are in the wrong size (again, they measured...not me). Hardware order was held up for 2 months and arrived in the wrong measurements as well. The drapes were sitting in a box for a month and now are so wrinkled I'll have to pay to have them professionally pressed and steamed. Meanwhile, they promised an "accomodation credit" for the delays they caused and my inconvenience. Two weeks later, and multiple phone calls to Cust. Service, and I still don't have the credit on my account. I cancelled their installation service (found out it was WAY overpriced) and that was to be credited back to me more than a week ago, and it's still not on my account. They are well versed in telling you "I will submit that to the other dept. for processing", which of course never happens. I have never had such a horrible, aggravating experience with ANY retailer in all my years. They are quick to take your money, but good luck getting your refund when things go wrong....and trust me, they will go wrong. I had to file a dispute with Mastercard to have them fight for my refunds. Oh, and a week after I cancelled a hardware order AND bought my own hardware locally AND hired an installation company to get my (now wrinkled) drapes, etc. installed--they overnight the cancelled hardware order. And the hardware arrived in the wrong size. If it wasn't so sad, I'd laugh about it. Save yourself the aggravation - do not buy anything from Smith & Noble. They don't deserve your money, and you don't deserve the aggravation you will undoubtedly experience. Trust me on this!
