Firstly, let me say that I have bought and paid for packaged hacker protection, notably Black Ice Defender, which by the way, is in and of itself a fine software program. However, out of boredom I downloaded Zone Alarm from the CNET web site and was utterly impressed. It's easy to use, it's non-invasive to your computers resources and simply put, it works. It works so well in fact that I uninstalled the Black Ice program and decided to go solely with the Zone Alarm. For all you newcomers, trust me on this one...Zone Alarm is the accepted security software most widely recommended. So save your money and download it for free...all you need is the basic version and you will be set. A real bargain and an absolute neccessity while conducting your business via your computer.
