Getting Around
The homepage is welcoming and uncluttered. On the left side of the page is a column of categories. Across the top are clearly marked links for: home, customer service, shipping information, order tracking, index, and view shopping basket. The index is an incredible listing of every product available from master gardening, alphabetized and categorized.
Hopping around from link to link is very easy, not the least bit confusing. Most items are accompanied by beautiful color photographs. For example, a shopper might click on indoor flower baskets, a 14 bulb arrangement, a photograph of the floral basket, and an enlargement of the photograph. Clicking the back link or home returns one to the starting point.
Orders
Orders may be placed online, over the phone, or by mail. Major credit cards are accepted as payment as are Paypal, money orders and personal checks. A friendly and responsive customer service department will quickly answer any questions.
I’ve never made a return on an order, but Mastergardening guarantees satisfaction.

Our policy is as follows: Unused or unopened product can be returned after purchase with a return authorization number. A return authorization number can be obtained by calling customer service at 301-694-6072. Write the RMA number on the outside of the package you are returning and include a copy of your receipt or packing slip.”
Shipping – Orders over a hundred dollars are shipped for free. A clearly designed shipping cost chart is on the site with shipping costs determined by the money spent on the order. The shipping cost for orders under 15 dollars, for example, is 5.95. Occasionally there are special deals on shipping. Get on the Mastergardening mailing list to take advantage of them. All of my orders have arrived promptly via UPS, always on the day promised. Most orders ship within two business days. Occasionally they ship the same day as the order placement.
Prices – I think prices are very reasonable. Many prices can’t be compared because the identical items aren’t available elsewhere. A savvy shopper can get some great deals on quality products via specials and sales.
My Experience
Most of my purchases from Mastergardening.com have been pesticides or pest deterrents. I especially like Flower Pharm Organic Insecticidal Soap for our annual caterpillar skirmishes, and Garlic Pharm Organic Garlic Oil used to discourage hungry deer that roam Spud Acres under the light of the moon. Both items come in very large 35-ounce containers for $12.95 each. Occasionally they are sale priced for even less.
Recently I ordered two bottles each of the insecticidal soap and the garlic oil and used a ten-dollar discount coupon received by email. The company always sends confirmation immediately by email and notifies the shopper when the order has shipped. For this order the items shipped the very next day and were on my doorstep within four days of ordering. Keep in mind that I reside in Maryland, Mastergardening’s location.
I’ve been a regular customer of Mastergardening for the past several years and am very satisfied with selection, prices, and quality of product. Orders are well packaged and promptly shipped. Those who enjoy gardening on any level should pay Mastergardening a visit.
