The Bottom Line: Nomad II is a wonderful player, durable and easy to use. With 64MB memory, an FM Tuner and alot of sound it is a great buy.

| knutsjay's Full Review: Creative Labs Nomad II (64MB) MP3 Player |
When I researched the mp3 players I was looking for two primary features compact size and a FM tuner. The Nomad has them both and so much more. Having owned the Creative Nomad II for just over 6months I’m very happy with its operation.
This mp3 player is very compact and easy to use. The volume is more than you should ever need. And the sound quality makes listening to your favorite music very enjoyable. Loading music is very quick with the included USB cable. There is no onboard memory only a difficult to remove 64MB memory card, which gives you about an hour of music. Replacement cards are currently priced at $49.99. Comfortable headphones are included, but they don’t appear to be very durable and I expect they wont last very long. A drawstring bag protects the player while transporting or storing it.
As new music formats develop the Nomad website allows you to download upgrades. The FM tuner has 32 presets that are difficult to program using the unit itself, but are very easy to set using your computer. The voice-recording feature is something that I have had very little use for. However, the recordings are very clear and the files can be uploaded to your computer.
Prices of MP3 players continue to drop rapidly, while memory capacity and other great features are improving just as rapidly. With the MP3 market developing so quickly expect great things to come from Creative Labs and the Nomad II.
