It is a leaker stay away!

Pros: Worked well when it worked

Cons: Leaks after a short while, housing corrodes easily and leaks into the motor housing.

Yep same thing here. I bought it 4 and a half years ago and of course it has a 4 year warranty. I think it is obvious that they made a bunch of lemons from all of the reviews I have seen and the forums filled with people like me with broken 444s. I splurged and bought the 3/4 HP "heavy duty" so it would last. Jokes on me and insinkerator is laughing all the way to the bank. It is all corroded on the bottom. It must have been leaking slowing into the motor for a while before I noticed it. I don't spend much time under the sink. I wish I would have noticed 6 months ago. Unless they step up and send me a non-defective model. I won't buy from insinkerator again.
