Pros:Lound, Clean, Deep, Powerful BASS Cons:None! The Bottom Line: If your looking for Deep, Loud, Powerful, Clean Bass these are the subs for you.
When I was looking for subs to put in my car I only had one choice on my mind. That one choice was JL Audio subwoofers. I wanted them because JL was a good name in subs and I heard them in other peoples car and I wanted that deep loud bass. So I purchased 3 12 inch W6's for 200 dollars a piece. The W6 line of subs come with dual 6 ohm voice coils which are not very versitle in your wiring options. You will have to talk to your installer and tell him how you want it to sound so he can determine how to wire the sub up. I had 3 subs and let me tell you the W6 line of woofers are much easier to work with in a set of 3. I had them wired in series at 4 ohms and I had an 800 watt amp that put out 800 watts at 4 ohms. Once everything was wired up I turned it on and cranked it up. The bass was devastating. The sound inside my car was so loud that you could barely sit in it. The sound remained loud and clear with no distortion even as I turned the knob louder. These subs hit every bass note with authority and showed superb response. These subs can really suck up the power also. A friend of mine has just 2 of them each getting 400 watts and they sound great. The recommendations for these subs are 300 watts RMS and 600 watts peak. But these subs have proved to me that they are much much better than there recommendations point out.
