Having ordered from a Delia's catalog once, long ago, I quickly became inundated with multitudes of fliers from companies selling clothing and accessories aimed at teenage girls with mom and dad's credit card......
Once, just once, I decided to peek at the contents of one of these mags, out of pure curiosity.
My eyes devoured the pages and pages of attractive color photographs, depicting underweight preteen girls sporting fun, trendy, and at times, individualistic clothing.
I flipped through more pages,
AHA!
I found the sweatshirt I was convinced I had waited a lifetime for. And I had finally paid off my credit card, so I was sure I was entitled to the 45$ sweatshirt I was SOOO convinced I just had to own. It was all over.
I started to look over this catalog, figuring, hey, if I could afford just one teeny weeny little sweatshirt, maybe I could purchase a few more things to go with it. With this conclusion, the circling rampage began.......
wide leg sweats? circle
cute baby tees? circle....circle
ooohh... acessories? circle....circle.....circle
I was SHOPPIN... and at 1130 at night no less....
By the time my order finally arrived (ooh, the joy of getting a package in the mail..more justification) I was excited. Upon trying on my new purchases, however I found that most of the things I had ordered were either too small, of shoddy construction and fabric, or too large.
Sooo, I made some returns.....
And made the mistake of looking through the NEW catalog Alloy had sent with my order...
Circle...circle....circlecircle
strangely enough, though the above mentioned sequence of events were repeated almost exactly, over and over again,
I went through my entire 500$ credit card, and it took about 3 months to realize I was being taken for a ride by alloy.
In short, the minor justification from purchasing clothing over the phone AND online is not at all worth the money and dissappointment one is usually faced with.
out of all of the clothing I purchased has now either shrunk, torn, faded, etc.......
