You sound very catty and immature. As an adult you shouldn't try to isolate anyone and make them feel like an outcast...no matter how annoying they are. You aren't in High School anymore. Grow up!

I totally envy the fact that you and your co-workers ban together and not against each other. I work as a paralegal in a top tier law firm in Garden City, NY and wish I shared that experience. My boss’s niece works at the firm 2 days a week for 4 hours each day. She is 27, a licensed social worker whose full time job is counseling children and teenagers. She spits in client’s coffee, instigates fights, makes up stories- e.g. Pat wears a wig and ‘Client’ hid in our waiting room closet the day of his consultation. She throws boxes filled with files across the room, stomps her feet and calls everyone an idiot. If you ask her “are you saying we are idiots she will laugh and act as though YOU are crazy. My coworkers talk behind her back but kiss her butt and ban WITH HER to make other workers uncomfortable out of fear- they don’t want to be the one to be picked on. Two secretaries have left because of her crazy behavior. I have brought these issues to the attention of my boss several times and he tells me to ignore her. I know it is clear that the only solution is to leave, and I am diligently seeking employment elsewhere but for now I have bills to pay. Any advice?

I thought I had it bad. This story actually alleviated some of the mental pain incurred by an employee here at my job. I was just thinking how could I ever continue to ignore her. Your story has shown me that the best thing to do is work around her ....she'll eventually pass away from the invisible shield I've created. I can not believe some people. I can't even stand the sound of her flip flops on her feet. Always tryin' to walk so very hard, like a stomping march. Ohhhhhh!!!!Attention Deprived people. It's definitely the NON ATTENTION that will get to them.

Aren't you the master manipulator at reestablishing office status quo. Bravo- and you saved the new girl too. This was a fun read.

Haven't we all had to work with the co-worker from Hell?

Well Done,
Linda

Could be - Annoying Coworker doesn't have Tourette's though, that was a previous person we had in another position (and who I could write an entire book about). I think Annoying Coworker is just oblivious and doesn't realize how what she does is seen by other people.

...I was thinking the same thing Virginia. Now as for the b*tchy part..well that is on her, but the other things may be due to a physical problem and the tourettes.

This was fun to read however and had me laughing. ....Make it a great day....kath

but - somehow - why do I feel sort of sorry for AC? Couldn't New Girl take her aside and maybe give her a few friendly hints?
