Sturdy Ergonomic Great Functioning Wireless Mouse

Pros: comfortable design, ergonomic, response
Cons: USB stick
The Bottom Line: A great user friendly mouse that is comfortable and responsive to use. It travel easily.

When we bought our first laptop we decided it was time to go with a wireless mouse as well. The Kensington Ci65m wireless mouse appeared to be good value for money and I have not been disappointed. After searching online I paid about $25 for this model. It is small and easy to handle. I have not had any problems with it not responding (except of course when the batteries die). The range is about 4ft or so.

The sides of the mouse are lined with a textured black rubber material that make it easy to grip. The top is also lined with this same rubber material and the scrolling wheel is textured so that it does not slip. The mouse is built sturdy and has a bit of weight to it.

The on/off toggle switch is located on the bottom of the mouse. Each time you turn the mouse on a light on the top flashes a color indicating the strength of the batteries (green=strong; red=going dead). The batteries are changed by pushing on the soft rubber button on the top which then clicks open a panel on the back for (2) AA batteries. I have owned this mouse for 1 1/2 years and am only on my second set of batteries (though I think they are ending the end of their life). It is not a battery hog.

The USB stick that goes into your computer sticks out about 1 1/2 inches from the face of your machine. This is the only complaint I have, which would apply to most USB wireless devices. When placing the USB stick on the front of a desktop machine or on a laptop the user must be mindful not to knock it around too much. Ours is still working well, though it is evident it has been bumped a few times. The USB stick is cleverly designed to slide into the bottom of the mouse which is excellent for when you are travelling.

Overall I am very pleased with the functionality and design of this mouse and would look to buy a similar model when this one comes to the end of its life, which it shows no sign of doing anytime soon.
