There are better choices available at lower prices, like Unibroue Terribel

I'm glad you made the comment you did because I edited my user page to include an excerpt from the CD. I set it up so it wouldn't loop.

As for your musical taste? No comment.

Re: ...Belgian (Reply to this comment)

I think it's the malt that provides the uniquely Belgian flavor that I know and love. I've noticed it in the past when I drank Chimay, Unibroue Terrible, Cosendonk, Saxo (love that label) and others. That was what I was referring to and it's very, very faint here.

As my physician explained, the malt in beer is as problematical as the wheat. So, I get mild sniffles from my mild allergy when I have an occasional beer or ale.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Belgian hop flavor? A hint of Belgian flavor? Could you go into more depth here, as "Belgian" really doesn't say much (not to mention, this beer uses Saaz and Styrian Goldings hops). Hops probably shouldn't be front and center on this style, though Goose Island promises more than they deliver with this beer.

I also haven't heard anything of Goose Island using wheat in this beer. Does GI say it uses wheat on the label?

Well, it's mild. And I get sniffles every single time I drink beer. So, I don't drink it as much as I used to, but I still enjoy it on occasion.

although I'm a bit too young to drink beer but I did like that you described the beer in porportion that every beer-drinking person would ever want to know about a beer.Nice review...keep up the good work

and even with the wheat allergy you enjoy wheat beers?! Maybe the more you drink the weaker your allergies will become.

my favorite line in your review...

"I’m always a sucker for intriguing packaging"

(being the curator of a beer can museum I know the feeling!!)

Take care.
