You got it!

But, alas, we'll have to wait a couple of years, I'm afraid.

We attended the first SF Meet & Greet event a couple of years ago and looked forward to this one but, alas, we were away on a trip so we could not make this one. I would have loved to have met you and the others!

My loss!

I really did enjoy our meeting. You, Tom, and your two handsome sons seem a sea anchor to windward, these days.

Thank you, Adrienne. You were just as nice as I knew you would be! I know what you mean about England/Ireland! Darn! I think we made our arrangements long before the M&G in England was discussed.

It was so lovely meeting you at the M&G last weekend. You may not have come as far as Doc and Tom did, but I'm glad you made the extra effort to be there. I had a really good time talking with you. I just wish you booked your UK vacation for July. Darn.

Thanks Colin. I'll talk to Dr. Rao when I see him - he's out of town at this time. Yes, Goleta International is the place to fly into when you want to see the cave paintings! ha! Great meeting you too - one of the first people on my WOT!

It was great finally meeting you, and talking with your hubby was fun too. Funny that I forgot about Dr. Rao but remembered that the two of you buzz my favorite cave paintings on final approach to Goleta International. At least if you're approaching from the North (that IS North, isn't it?). I WILL remember to look for THE ROCK next time I'm up on West Camino Cielo.

Best,

Colin

G - it was such a pleasant surprise to meet you there! You are just as warm and inviting as your reviews and email are.

These Meet & Greets are great - they make reading reviews and trusting opinions better and easier!

Oh Phil! You are another person I would love to meet; I guess three hours at a Meet and Greet should be enough time, but you're right, 4 would have been even better!

Sure would have loved to have met you in person. Time does go by so quickly at these Meets. Maybe they should be expanded by a half hour or hour.

The sweat shirts do sound cool.

Once again glad you and everybody else had a great time.

It sounds like you met some terrific people...and oooohhhh a black sweatshirt too??? Okay, I must admit I'm a little jealous over that one.

This was great fun to read...I do hope someone got some photos...even if you didn't get a group shot....Make it a great day....kath

Glad to hear you had fun!

Hello mumun: Thank you for your comment.

"I'm interested in what the topics of conversation were, the environment, perhaps how this changed (or solidified) your impression of Epinions as a community."

Well, I guess I can say that the topics of conversation were as lively and varied as the personalities of all those attending were. We spoke of Epinions and how it all works, of our families, our real lives, and just had fun in general. The environment was also lively, noisy and fun with great appetizers. Since you are a new member, I should have made it clear that although I felt prior to the Meet and Greet that Epinions members have strong community, it made me feel that even more strongly afterward.

Gael, it was great meeting all those people in this review and sharing the evening with you.

Thanks so much. I loved reading about it. It just convinces me that the Epinions community is unique!

Glad Doc was behaving. Bet she bounced around, though. lol (her profile pic?)

More reasons to be disappointed that I missed it!

I'm sorry I didn't get to go, I would have especially liked to meet you. In your user pic you're a virtual double for one of my best friends and I'd like to know if the resemblance remains in person :)

Maybe at the next meet...

I wonder if we could all meet in the middle of the country (e.g. Kansas?) or something, so everyone could go at the same time! ha! Well, sounds nice anyway...

Hi Jan! I think we were sort of rushed out in a hurry and no one remembered that photo. I didn't think of it myself until hours later! I did take a few photos with my little one-time camera though, so hope to have those done soon.

Explaining my H (Reply to this comment)
by mumun
This is enjoyable. I clicked H rather VH because - as someone who wasn't there - I didn't get a specific sense of the event, more than a listing of people you met there. I'm interested in what the topics of conversation were, the environment, perhaps how this changed (or solidified) your impression of Epinions as a community.
