I was drawn to Deepdiscount.com due to their free shipping and low prices. To be fair, it's hard to find a consistently low price site for DVD's.
However, I was double charged for an order 9 months after it closed! I ordered two Little Mermaid posters for my fiance in September of 2007. I was charged, received the product and the order closed.
I received an e-mail in May of 2008 saying that my "order was processing". I quickly went to the website as I hadn't even visited it in three months...possibly more. Sure enough, it said my closed order from September was processing.
I fired off a polite e-mail asking for the process to be stopped. Three days later, I got a reply saying I had already been charged (the day before the e-mail, how convenient) and that the only way they would refund my money was by refusing delivery of the product. The only problem is that I'm never home to do that and the nearest post office is far away.
They made the mistake and won't do anything about it unless I take steps to rectify the situation.
Buyer beware....even an order 9 months ago can be re-charged from this website and you have to pull teeth to get anyone to help!
