Pros: There are no pros whatsoever.
Cons: Unreasonably long hold times, uneducated reps, inconsistent answers, no follow-through.
The Bottom Line: As I said, the WORST OF THE WORST. If you are thinking about going with MCI WorldCom, think again.

| kennyz's Full Review: General Reviews of MCI Worldcom Customer Service |
Like many other posters here, I signed up with WorldCom wireless due to a promotion that sounded wonderful on the phone. Free Motorola phone, free activation, only $30.00/month.
I was told my a supervisor on the day that I signed up that I had long distance to anywhere in the country included in my plan. This turned out to be false.
The first phone that I was sent in May 2001 was defective (the microphone did not work). A month later, I received a second phone, but it was not pre-activated. So I called to have it activated. A week later, it was still not activated so I called again. A month later, still not activated.
I went the entire summer with a defective activated phone, and a supposedly working unactivated phone. The tech support people could not figure out how to activate the phone (I read the ESN to four different support people).
I never received any bills during that time, so I figured that they realized that they had screwed up. Sometime in July 2001, I receive my first bill, which is a late bill covering charges from April - June. They were trying to catch up due to their own problems. I was horrified, and called (on hold for over a half hour, as usual) to have the bill cleared.
I did have that bill cleared, but other bills followed. I finally got my phone activated on September 20, 2001, but my bill is not being cleared, after speaking to two reps and sending two e-mails (never got a response to either e-mail).
Last weekend (10/5/2001), I took my first trip from Albany to Buffalo since having the phone activated. Almost all of I-90 between Buffalo and Albany is in my home calling area, as shown in the maps they sent me, and as indicated by the sales rep who originally got me into this nightmare.
Well, once I was only a half hour outside of Albany, the phone went into ROAMING! This was unbelievable. I am roaming in my own home calling area.
So I refuse to pay any bills, and have called them to indicate this.
This is the worst plan, the worst service, and the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are dishonest, unknowledgeable, unskilled, and just plain poor.
I feel sorry for anyone that works there, and I certainly feel for anyone who, like me, got suckered into this horrendous deal.
