Pros: Still the only next gen console out, already large game library.
Cons: Game library generally bad, system bottlenecks show in games, expensive to developers.

Processor speed can really be judged by it's clockspeed, especially when teh difference is only in hundreds. AMD has proved this many times against Intel by producting faster Processors with lower clock-speed. Intel has high clock-speed because of it's architecture, PPC has the lowest, but it is not far behind.
Clock-speed can only be judged on CPUs from the same company, that are from the same generation. Their architecture must also be about the same.

oh man, this person really thought Nintendo and Microsoft could beat Sony? Nintendo got its butt handed to 'em during the PSX/N64 battle, and Microsoft is a first-timer in the console realm (and it shows).
I think PS2's only competitor is the Gameboy Advance (darn good system).

It is selling well actually.
But I do have my doubts since the guy behind the character design for 8 is in it.

I'm very disappointed with the PS2, and I just loved the original Playstation. I bet the upcoming Final Fantasy X won't even be as good as the others in the series.
