If I Decide I Want To Rob The Cradle... (Reply to this comment)
by AinsleyJo
...I think I'll set my sights on that Geiko lizard! He's a cutie!

Frank Sinatra was around 49 when he married 19 year old Mia Farrow, btw.

Would you believe that I'm currently writing a book, and the picture I've chosen for the cover shows me at 19--and the back cover shows me half-dressed (that is, if I can locate the picture again) but somewhere in my thirties.

Buy the book (when it comes out) and you'll understand why the picture on the back cover is half-dressed.

Anyway, this poem is very honest and takes a delicate subject and lifts it up to a level of beauty and caring.

The speaker is up-front with this younger woman about his intentions and doesn't try to string her along in order to have his way with her.

Kudos!

Well, aren't you a truthful one! Nicely done. It helps to get a dose of this in the poetic form. Just so you know, I had the same thoughts about a cute young man I saw the other night. Shh! Don't tell on me now. Thoughts it shall remain. Women can be just as visual as men. We are just more cleaver about letting that info out. LOL

But, really you painted a vivid picture and used imagery very well here. Here's hoping that the two of you get to make pretty music together. I hope that a piece of her soul clings to you!

Cheers, Linda
