I grew up in Gloucester County, VA... not too far from Va. Beach. I remember some of those regional ads you mentioned, especially the ones for Cost Plus (You save more money at Cost Plus-- right Joanna? Right Daddy!) YUCK!
How about the ads for Haynes furniture? Or Casey Chevrolet (thank God I don't have to see that one on a regular basis anymore... the lady that did them was older than the hills-- but I still remember the phone number! 596-6311!)

the exact same commercials. What is worse is that Granniemose mimics them when they are in progress. Yes. I could live without a TV.

About the Geico commercials made me laugh. I do say that my favorite of them is the one where the old woman's cats are sizing up the gecko as their mid-day munchie... Thanks for venting. -- Telynor

you wrote about, I enjoyed reading your take on them, Tom. No TV? Of course, you had to get one, how else could Doc order from QVC? I am thinking about all that you have missed over the years........and you are probably better off for it.
