I've recently purchased Wellness cat dry food. It's $19.99 for 5lbs which are quite expensive. I feed my purebred cat with top food choice such as Evo, Orijen, and Wellness.
My recent experience with petfooddirect.com isn't pleasant. I only have 1 cat who just turned 1 years old yesterday. The Wellness cat dry food I purchased with an expiration date in 3 months. The date I purchased was beginning of May 2008, and the food expires in Aug. 2008. I have called the customer service regarding in exchange for the same food, with longer expiration date because my cat will not finish the food by the expiration date.
When I called them, they repeated stating that the customer must pay shipping at their own cost due to the fact, that is, the food is NOT EXPIRED YET. Several times had I mentioned to them that I only have ONE cat and have bought several bags of food from them, and so, will not finish that particular 1 bag of Wellness in 3 months.
Yet, Petfooddirect.com customer service offered to mail me another bag of same food with no shipping fee, but I have to mail back the soon-to-be expired food with my own cost.
I really like this company because they offer tremendous brands of food selections. But It is not fair when they say they have 100% satisfactory guaranteed, and yet ships soon-to-be expired food to a customer, who have to pay shipping back at his own cost.
