Bought a Compaq Computer with added memory and hard drive storage and speed that I thought was REFURBISHED based on FALSELY WRITTEN AD. Ad DID NOT say, AS IS, instead it said: FACTORY SERVICED to MEET ORIGINAL QUALITY STANDARDS. That was FALSE AND FOUL. The DVD playback was like listening Mickey Mouse. The software was missing an Audio Pack on the DVD and the Sound Card was a complete WRECK and should have been REPLACED. I complained and was told to contact Computer Express, the drop shippers. These people were complete jokers and I'm putting that nicely. They never admitted to sending a wreck computer. One guy told me that SH*T HAPPENS and another one told me that he didn't know what was written in the H.A. catalog. What bungholes. Computer Express refused to send a prepaid return shipping label and I had to pay $26.98 to send the crap back, plus the hell of talking to a bunch of idiots on the phone. Heartland America refused to give me the $28.95 that I paid them for shipment fee. I got on their case and they agreed to give me only $14.00 back of the $28.95. This now means that I have lost $41.93 and I have nothing but anger to show for it. These people are like criminals along with their drop shippers who refuse to give the consumer what they pay for and expect to receive. A Heartland America supervisor offered me a $20 coupon on a future purchase, after I railed on her, yet they couldn't simply give me all of my money back. I don't know if the coupon is worth it. I shouldn't think they will do better on another order. I will certainly not purchase anything electronic from them again, that's for sure.
