I have been a member of MyPoints for 2 years. So far I have received 3 $50 Home Depot Certificates and a $25 JCPenney certificate. I have not been disappointed at all with the customer service or the selection of rewards.
There are a few ways to earn points: reading emails, visiting websites, trying offers, taking surveys, and shopping. MyPoints sends me emails that I read and earn 5, 10 or 15 points for connecting to links through the email. Sometimes you can extra points for signing up to try special offers on these websites. The MyPoints site has some surveys you can take to get additional points. There are also links from the site to earn points.
The most fruitful of the points earning opportunities lies in the shopping. MyPoints has links to several online merchants. By connecting through the MyPoints site to do my shopping, I earn 2 points per dollar spent. I do a great deal of my Christmas and birthday shopping via the internet so I earn lots of points by going through the MyPoints site. Three or four times a year the points are doubled so you can earn 4 points per dollar. This happens right around holidays and the start of school. Understand that I would buy from these merchants online with or without MyPoints. Using MyPoints just gives me a little perk. You can also check the MyPoints site daily for free shipping offers and special deals.
If you are just reading the emails and not using the site to do online shopping, earning enough points for rewards could be excruciatingly slow. However, if you shop online on a regular basis with stores found on MyPoints, you can give yourself a little something back. Remember, coupon codes you find on the internet coupon sites still work even if you connect through MyPoints!
