Now for some filler until I feel like doing a review.. adult content.

Ain't love grand? Let's dress it up in ruffled pirate shirts and tight bodices and call it a romance novel. Pure fantasy.

Thanks Rob for asking. It seems that as the weather is warming up, so is my situation. The ice that formed between us is melting. We seem to be finding our way back to each other. Spring has a way of renewing...

Familiar territory is this, when the spouse is but an alien in our presense and you wonder why you ever consented to sleep with this person, let alone live with them! Great job on the poetry, I enjoyed them all for their frankness and raw emotion…

Mike, your wife is a very lucky woman...
Wish all men were as thoughtful and appreciative as you. You are the best.

Hi Kathleen,
You know I have a routine already to go, if I do open mic anytime soon. It starts out all lovey dovey and ends up wicked and sassy.

Thanks for the encouragement.
Hugs, miss you-

I love the poems, as I've told you before. How free'ing would it be to get up on stage and say them to an audience? Maybe, as an aries woman, you are too much for him that he has to roll over and sleep because all of his energy is gone! No apologies necessary!

By the way, A Love Poem was created after I started to watch a weird movie about a young woman's fascination with dead bodies and the preparation prior to their being viewed in a funeral home. The movie was too disgusting to watch so I changed the station, but, the image stayed with me and inspired me to write. I just applied this concept in the context of "live" relationship. It is graphic, and unfortunately happens to many woman. I related to it when he was drunk, drunk just hammers away at you... and is difficult forget. The allusions to necrophilia are merely metaphoric. That's the real inspiration behind the poem. Venting is more consistent with my current personal experience, and is the experience of many of my friends.

Overall this was a therapeutic, theatrical, poetic venting for me. And yes, I like these poems, they just say it. Truth be told, sometimes love just sucks and spouses can be infuriating. There I feel better now.

So, forgive me if I jostled your sensibilities.

I'm afraid I'll disappoint you

I couldn't imagine how that could even remotely be possible! He should light candles to thank the angels nightly that you're there every morning he awakes.

Ahh...Men...lol

I was hoping you were going to post something "adult" -- and this is definitely better than expected! Maybe you ought to just "accidently" leave these poems around the house so he can stumble onto them and see if he learns anything from them......?
