My first Bosh water heater I bought from Lowes. I paid $150 to have it installed and we were not able to get it lit. After it would not light I called Bosch they wanted me to pay for a plumber to come out and repair it.I asked the operator if they would cover the service call she stated it was not their policy to cover any costs even on a new water heater. Lucky for me the nice Manager at Lowes Simi Valley let me exchange it. So I returned it to Lowes and paid $150 again to have the new Bosch one installed Luckily the plumber did not charge me to take it down off the wall! The new Bosch water heater lit and it lasted about a week and the Gas Co had to come out to lite the heater. I have now had to light it myself three additional times and I still cannot get it lit now and am currently waiting for the Gas Co to come out again. We have had the Bosch water heater for only 4 months. I will see if Lowes will return it and I will still have to pay a plumber to install it! I hope I will not get stuck with this lemon and I will never buy a Bosh again!!!!!!!
