This was my first shopping experience with TheNerds and it wasn't a pleasant one. I attempted to purchase a laptop over the weekend when they had a promotion where ground shipping was $4.99 on orders over $100. Monday goes by and no news on my order, which is fine because they stated shipping information would probably not be available until Tuesday. So Tuesday morning, still no news on my order. I call them and talk to a customer service rep who said that it will be processed and shipped on that day. Wednesday morning, I get an email stating that my order was cancelled due to my credit card. That's fine, the order was expensive and my credit card company may have rejected the charge for security reasons. I call them again to see if I can use a different credit card and they say that I should just place another order. Well, shipping surprisingly jumps to about $82 now. I wasn't going to pay this and asked the customer service rep if they would honor the shipping price on my original order. They said no, and I said goodbye and bought somewhere else. Overall, terrible first time shopping experience and I get the feeling they have some shady business practices there.
