The Bottom Line Dan Larson is a third generation agent... and it shows. I learned that being good in real estate can be a craft that is handed down and improved through generations.
I am a very picky person and dont at all like dealing with sales people. So the thought of contacting an agent to buy my first house was making me uneasy. I made the mistake of walking into an Edina Realty office in Minnetonka, the city in which I was looking to purchase a condo. The agent working the floor there clearly had nothing to do, and was not a successful person. She was kind enough, but was more interested in selling me something, like, that day than in finding me the right place. She clearly did not know the condo market in the city she worked in, and spent the afternoon driving me in circles, showing me so many places that were almost exactly the same, and doing u-turns. I almost gave up. That night I spoke with my father about my frustration and told him that I cant stand these people and am going to just rent. He told me that his agent in the 70's was awesome... totally informed and professional. He thought his name was Rick Larson. He helped me look up his information and found that he was no longer an agent, but that he had opened a company called PROSOURCE, and it was the primary real estate licensing school in the country. And we found that his son Dan (same as my first name..that was a start) was working at that school training agents and also selling real estate. Dan is young, I think 28, but knew the laws like an attorney and knew all kinds of financial stuff I never even would have thought about. Within two weeks of meeting Dan Larson I was in a purchase agreement to buy a 200,000 condo for 185,000 on a contract for deed. My recommendation, always work with the best.
