Pros: Action, Adventure, A great adaptation of the book
Cons: None really.
The Bottom Line: The premise is a bit hokey (Fetching a star for a girl who is too good for you) but it's a great feel good movie nevertheless.

| piratepanda's Full Review: Stardust |
From the beginning, this movie is a delight. Charlie Cox does a great job portraying the young Tristan who finds his true love after a very unique journey. Claire Danes does a perfect job as the star (Yvaine). Theres action, adventure, romance, and even some comedy mixed in. The dead sons of the king who linger around the remaining living sons of the king are particularly amusing; most notably due to the fact that they cannot communicate with their living siblings until it is too late for them. Even the man guarding the hole in the wall is entertaining in his right to defend it from anyone who may want to pass. The start of the movie does have that air of annoyance at the fact that a young man is in love with the most popular lady in the town who dually treats him horribly, but maybe that is because it is a true reflection of life these days.
The special fx used for the movie are stellar, particularly Lamias (Michelle Pfieffer) magic. Captain Shakespeares ship is also a great representation of the book and seeing Robert Di Nero in his role is most definitely worth the wait (His characters true self becomes apparent towards the end of the movie).
