I always say you can tell a good company by how they react in a dispute. These guys are bastards. Don't trust them. I booked a hotel in Russia and they charged my credit card. When I arrived in Russia there was no room booked as their agent had not paid the hotel. Immediately phoned Hotel Club help line and they were useless. The hotel then charged me walk in rate to stay there on the same credit card. I complained. Hotel Club said they'd refund the money. I wrote over half a dozen letters and faxes. My credit card company contacted both Hotel Club and the hotel concerned. Both parties pointed at the other and refused to refund me their transaction. The credit card agency also did not protect me. So I am several hundred down on this and big business just ignores you. Thinking of legal action, but how do you sue an Australian company like Flairview Travel for a booking in a Russian Hotel made on the web from Europe? Only option left: leave bad reviews so fellow travellers are warned. This is not the only such review you will find on the Internet. Just use google to search and you will find that others have had the same problem: turning up at some hotel which does not recognise their "voucher" and is then either full or rips you off with a higher rate.
