My Butterfly

The Bottom Line She really was moved by this poem and appreciated it greatly.

My grandmother requested that I write a poem for her so one night while I lay in bed and could not sleep I wrote this one down.

My Butterfly

As a butterfly awakens,
And spreads her glorious wings,
She takes a deep breath,
To go into the world and experience new things.

To watch her gracefulness,
As she flies into the sky,
The simple perfection of it all,
As she glides and wisps very high.

She is perfect and full of life,
This I am quite sure,
Her love abounds to all she meets,
So gentle and so pure.

She is you, my butterfly,
My Grandmother, my dearest friend,
To me you are all that I can become,
And my love you hold will never end.

The love I see in your eyes,
Radiates in many ways,
It guides me and carries me,
In my struggles throughout the days.

Forever guiding me, my butterfly,
To a place I do not know where,
But whatever I do or where I am,
I can turn and reach out to you, and you are there.

All My Love,
Thank You
