Pros:Works well, installs easily. No surprises.
Cons:Produces some noise, but pretty quiet. Expensive (but good design and quality)
The Bottom Line: Worth it if you can get it at a good price.
Good quality
So much better than the Nutone that was there before.
This was an easy install.
The halogen lights dont come with the unit, but are easy to pick up at any hardware store.
It performs very well. When a piece of pasta fell on one of the ovens burners, the vent hood sucked the smoke away very nicely.
When I had the unit on maximum level, it made relatively low noise compared to the Nutone. The Nutone (basic cheap model) made an enormous amount of noise, plus did very little to suck the air out. I even upgraded to the Nutone stainless steel hood that allegedly had a 500 CFM rating
it made a LOT of noise, barely sucked, was missing parts plus the high/medium/low buttons for the fan did not work (I think it was stuck on high
but cant say for sure). Needless to say I returned the Nutone.
Well worth the money for the better quality. If we ever decide to move to gas, well be ready.
The unit was well packed and covered with protective tape to avoid scratches during installation.
The filters are dishwasher safe plus bulbs are easy to find (pack of 2 for 8 dollars).
