If the albums are so bad, why bother reviewing them and buying them?

It's not a bad list, but you left out a few things that should definitely be on a definitive list of Black Metal demo's and ep's. Burzum - Demo II (1992) Both Burzum demos on one tape, incredible raw Black Metal with an evil atmosphere and some of the most extreme shrieking vocals ever! Graveland - In The Glare Of Burning Churches (1993) One of the rawest Black Metal recording EVER made. Even rawer that Beherit - The Oath Of Black Blood! Essential Polish NSBM!!!
Also, your info on Varg is a bit inaccurate. He did not start Burzum after being in Mayhem. He already was releasing Burzum material when Euronymous asked him to play in Mayhem.
Note: Dawn - Sorgh på Svarte Vingar Fløgh contains an incredible cover of Infernal Majesty's classic satanic anthem "Night Of The Living Dead."
