The Bottom Line Justice for all.....
What are your spiritual beliefs or religious affiliations?
Baptized Methodist as a very young child, but was scoffing at it even then.... I think it's a great work of fiction.
What is your sexual orientation?
Hetero
How do you see your own religious/spiritual views as influencing your opinion of sexuality?
Not being christian, I do not think myself better than everyone else... nor do I feel the need to judge and condemn others for things that are none of my business.
How do you define marriage?
Two people who care enough about each other to want to take care of each other and ensure a lack of legal hassles upon the death of one or the other.
What thoughts or reactions do you have to these two pictures? (all completely safe for work, home, etc.)
1. http://www.sfgate.com/c/pictures/2004/03/10/ba_knight01.jpg
They both look very happy.
2. http://www.sfgate.com/c/pictures/2004/02/13/ba_gaywed_01_lm.jpg
Again, they both look very happy.
How does one of Christian faith reconcile these two pictures? Is one right and one wrong? What reactions do you have to seeing these signs?

A true christian, that is one who actually pays attention to what Jesus said and meant, absolutely could not condone this.

Exactly right.
Why do you think the topic of homosexuality is so polarizing in religious communities?
What isn't polarizing in religious communities?
Should the government be in the business of defining marriage? Why or why not?
The government should be in the business of all men are created equal. Religion has NO place in government... marriage, however, is a legal contract and should be honored between any two people of age that wish to enter into it. For the government to try to make a prejudicial law just horrifies me.
Would you support the legalization of gay marriage?
It shouldn't even need to be legalized. This should never have been an issue... but yes.
If you answered yes, what are your fears behind it remaining illegal?
The constitution goes out the window. Welcome to the inquisition folks....
Would you support government-sanctioned civil unions between homosexual couples?
As long as all marriages are then government sanctioned unions....
Do you see any way of bridging this current divide in our country over "wedge issues" like gay marriage or abortion? Or should we even be trying?
Kill em all and start over (the politicians I mean)
What do you see America's view of homosexuality and gay marriage being in 100 years from today? What will those future Americans think of us in 2005, as they look back?
It depends greatly on what happens right now. It will either be total church-rule, or they'll all look back at us and laugh at the ignorance.
Final thoughts or ideas:
I shall once again steal a phrase from Aggiebrett and use it to describe my feelings on self-righteous idiots:
*spit*
