STAY AWAY FROM HUGHES - FAR, FAR AWAY!!!

In the annals of horrible customer service, Hughes has written not only a new chapter, but an entire new book.
When we canceled our service with them, they continued to bill our credit card. We contacted them, spoke to someone in India (of course) who barely spoke English. Explained the situation, and she verified that we had indeed canceled the service. Next month - they billed us again. Called again, spoke to another non-English speaker, got yet another confirmation that we had indeed canceled our service months before. Then these *#$@ billed us again!! At that point we turned it over to our credit card company, who fought with them on our behalf. We thought we had finally straightened it out, and two months later we got a letter in the mail that Hughes had turned us over for collections!!!!
After a protracted and nasty battle that included filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office in the state where they do business, we think we have it resolved. I say think, because we have never heard another word from Hughes. No apology, no explanation, nothing. I'm still afraid that another letter is going to show up one day and I will have to deal with these people again.
If you deal with Hughes, you will be shuffled from one Indian to another, with no resolution to your problems. There is no way you can speak to someone in America who speaks and understands English. Emails sent to them are ignored. Letters sent to them are ignored. Not only does the left hand not know what the right hand is doing, the left hand hand doesn't even know what its own fingers are up to. This company does not care in any way, shape, or form about their customers, and I know of at least two other people that have had very bad experiences with them.
If I could rate them in minus numbers I would.
Believe me - stay away from Hughes. Far, far away!!
