Wow, I'm not sure how I feel about the surgery, but hopefully it accomplishes what you hope and you recover nicely.

But this will all be worth it when you are in your new bikini. ;) I am thinking of you and I hope it all goes well. My very good friend had the same thing done about 1 and a half years ago. She has lost 160 pounds and she just got herself a boob job! She looks fantastic!
Bless you!

You (and your family) continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I understand the exasperating process of surgery prep, as I went through the forced cleansing prior to the hysterectomy I had. The endometriosis was so bad that they needed to make sure that my intestines were clean, in case surgery was required on them too. Take care.

You are in my thoughts (Reply to this comment)

I had a similar experience prepping for a colonoscopy. It was ridiculous what they made me do and I was completely worn out by the time I had the procedure. The good thing though, in my case, is the worse was behind me (literally) and the procedure was nothing compared to the prep.
I hope for you that the feeling is the same although I have a close friend who went through this and she had a tough month or six weeks getting used to her new way of eating and living. But 100 pounds later and feeling wonderful, she is getting married again and living life in a way she never could before.
I hope to hear the same success story from you (minus marrying again, you already have a great guy!).
You are in my thoughts.

"I was only 10 feet from the bathroom, but that was 9 1/2 feet to far."
I'm so sorry, Lisa, but I had to chuckle at this line. I can only imagine how embarrassed you were, but the way you wrote it is funny.
As I continued reading this, I feel so sorry for you, Lisa, I really do. Except that I LOVE the fact that your hubby helped you shave your legs. Where did you find him?
Right now, you are probably in the middle of surgery or recovery (it's 4:30 PM your time). I'm sure you're doing well, and will recover nicely.

....you're in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully you're settled in at the hospital now and perhaps even already have the surgery started.
I'm so sorry this past week has been such a rough one...but you know it will all be worth it. Again, my daughter has said she would do it all again...I'm sure you'll be glad when it is done and you get on the road to recovery.
God Bless.........kath

You've gone through so much and you've been a trooper. Everything - and everyone - will be just fine. I know that your "Mommy-Sense" is worried, but it will be okay.
By the way... I hope you're happy. We've all said so many prayers for you that when I began to pray for you this morning, I began with my normal "Heavenly Father,..." and I swear I heard Him say, "Oh for goodness' sake, not you again!" ;-)
Everything will be just fine, Lisa. You're very brave and I know that this decision will be well worth everything you've experienced.
Take care - I'm off to bug God again! lol
Warmly -
- Sunni

Lisa, I had a friend who had the same surgery send me this link. This is for people who had this surgery done in Mexico, but I assume the challenges after surgery are the same.
The link will directly lead you to their forums.
Good luck to you and be proud of yourself for taking on this challenge.
