Pros: Compact, easy to use, fully customizable.
Cons: Was pricey, but it has been reduced. Watch batteries instead of AAA.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this to anyone who uses their computer for multimedia applications, or presentations. It works really well.

| channer's Full Review: Keyspan Digital Media Remote |
The Keyspan Digital Media Remote is almost a necessity for me. I love to listen to mp3's when I am away from my desk, I have a tv-tuner on my PC, and I like being able to control DVD's from the comfort of my couch. There are not many IR remotes out there, so why buy this one. Well for one it is fully compatible with the Mac, and Windows.
The whole package is quite small, and portable. This would probably be good if you wanted to do PowerPoint presentations and the like. The software is completely customizable, which lets you designate each button to a keystroke, or combination of keystrokes. In addition, the keys can be set up differently for each application. There is no hassle installing it, or connecting it. All you need is a USB port, which almost every PC and Mac made since about 1997 has. Plug it in, install the provided software, or get it from http://www.keyspan.com/. That's it!
Basically the DMR lets you use your PC from a distance, say the couch for example, and have full control. It works well, it is reasonably priced, and it supports just about any system or application.
